UI/UX Designer with over 20 years of experience in web design and development, specializing in WordPress and Joomla projects.

Creative and technical

From paper to screen

I started as a publishing designer and soon I got involved in web desing, until I found myself working full time in digital media.

I learnt HTML and CSS as part of my daily work designing websites, and then I met WordPress and Joomla.

Design + Code

I saw in those systems a chance to implement features and build dynamic and advanced websites. So I began to build customized templates for CMS, which led me to learn PHP and JS.

My interest in learning and being up-to-date in the use of programming tools and languages has allowed me to build projects in other platforms such as Typo3, Moodle and Drupal.

UX

My interest in usability has led me to attend multiple workshops on the subject and graduate courses that have allowed me to apply this knowledge and experience to the projects I carry out.

Trainer and lecturer

I have worked as a workshop facilitator and speaker for the Bogotá WordPress community, thanks to my experience working with this platform since 2006.

I love sharing knowledge and have developed skills to train users in the handling of digital tools and code.

Management

I created two companies focused in website design and development – Aracnea and Filigrama – and I was founder member of the Colombian Graphic Designers Association, which gave me experience leading work teams and projects.
